Open Spaces 2009 sessions notes/videos |
Here is a list of sessions, including collected notes and recorded video/audio. |
This wiki will serve as the home for Houston ALT.NET gatherings. Gatherings so far have been monthly geek dinners, and we recently hosted our first open spaces event! (Sessions)! Look at Geek Dinners or our mailing list hosted on Google Groups for information on past & upcoming dinners! You can also take a look at the Members list & add yourself if you like!
We have a mailing list hosted on Google Groups. It's low-volume and is mostly used to post community announcements (like our geek dinners.)
(from the altdotnet.org site:)
We are a self-organizing, ad-hoc community of developers bound by a desire to improve ourselves, challenge assumptions, and help each other pursue excellence in the practice of software development.
For some history on ALT.NET see the original post that started it all, and the subsequent comments. You can also subscribe the main altdotnet yahoo group to join in on the discussion at a global scale.
Open spaces is a self-organizing process that allows any group or organization to address complex, important issues and achieve meaningful results quickly. For .NET developers, this means that we'll dive into topics that we find most pressing. Others vote on those ideas, the important issues rise to the top and we get together. No pre-canned sessions, no marketing material, just passionate developers looking to expand their craft.
